1 Corinthians 10:12-13 (NLT) 10:12 If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. 13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
It saddens me to see so many caught up in the sin of temptation. The lure of temptation absolutely destroys people. I have a lot of people who come into my office with “regrets” about their life decisions. It’s interesting that most people know of the consequences of their sin but do it anyway. They then spend the rest of their life trying to ‘undo’ those moments of bad decision. We are warned here – that if we think we are strong in regards to temptation – that we be careful that we don’t fall. Temptation can affect the weak or the strong. We must be so careful to do what God wants us to do.
