“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land that I give you, the land shall keep a Sabbath to the Lord. For six years you shall sow your field, and for six years you shall prune your vineyard and gather in its fruits, but in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to the Lord. You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard. You shall not reap what grows of itself in your harvest, or gather the grapes of your undressed vine. It shall be a year of solemn rest for the land. (Leviticus 25:2-5 ESV)
A few years ago I experienced something that I had never really experienced in my lifetime - I hit the wall. And when I did, everything around me seemed to come crashing down on me. Circumstances of life compounded upon each other and I was left with an emotional tank that was completely empty. In fact, it was probably in the deficit territory. Thankfully, during that time, with the help of some very wise people, I was able to reach out and get the help I needed. For three months I stopped what I was doing and rested and I also began the process of resharpenig my ax.
It is interesting that in the Book of Leviticus that God also sees the need for people and land to take a needed break every once in a while. They were to stop their usual labor, alter their daily routines, and change their lifestyle for a season. We can only press ourselves so far and then we need stop and get some needed rest. We have to stop and re-tool ourselves and sharpen our ax for the journey ahead.
So, how did the Sabbath help them?
1- The people received the needed rest
2- It gave them the opportunity for redemption - Every Israliete could return to ancestral lands and redeem them
3- It gave them time to reflect on their lives and where they were going in the future
4- It gave the people time to repair that was broken and figure out the type of crops they wanted to invest in over the next 7 years
5- It gave the people time to invest in relationships which often get overlooked during seasons of labor
6- It gave the people time to refocus on God and their relationship with Him.
During the season of my "meltdown" Denise and I were fortunate to spend time in Colorado at a Pastor's Retreat called Sonscape (sponsored by Focus On The Family). We were able to sit and reflect, refocus and heal. We found that God had not left us but that we had just lost sight of Him along the way.
Everyone of us needs to take time to rest and sharpen the ax for the next season in our lives. I pray that God will help during this season to refocus back upon Him and that you will be refreshed in your heart in your heart in worship to Him. I pray that you would again find your strength in The Lord and that you would see that God has not left you or abandoned you. May God's light shine upon all your ways. Amen.

CHARACTER: GOD'S CALL MUST BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY
I've been reading through the Book of Leviticus lately - a great book for insomiacs. As you read through its pages we are told over and over about what is clean and what is not clean. We see how God deals with the sin of Aaron's sons and we are also given detailed instructions about foods to eat and foods not to eat. Much is also spoken over purification rites and what to do about how to stop disease from spreading through the camp.
All of this is informational and can be interesting or boring - depending on your interest level. But I think what the underlying issue that is being conveyed is of great importance for all of us. It is this: We must put "being" before "doing." Getting right with God is of the highest priority.
Far too often we jumpt to mechanics, methods and techniques. We put stye ahead of substance. We focus on charisma but neglect character. The following axioms from John Maxwell beckon us to put our character first:
1. We are given our gifts, but we must develop our character.
2. Our character earns the trust of others.
3. Only good character gives lasting sucess with people.
4. Sound character communicates credibility and consistency.
5. Our character colors our perspective.
6. Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there.
7. We cannot rise above the limitations of our character.
8. Our gifts can't take us further than our character can sustain us.
I like what was said about David in the Bible...
So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them by the skillfulness of his hands. (Psalms 78:72 NKJV)
If you want to grow as a leader, if you want to grow as a Christian - pursue character and pursue integrity. God will richly bless you as you do this.

RESPONDING TO GOD'S CALL ON YOUR LIFE
Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and of the blood that was on the altar and sprinkled it on Aaron and his garments, and also on his sons and his sons’ garments. So he consecrated Aaron and his garments, and his sons and his sons’ garments with him. (Leviticus 8:30 ESV)
I've seen all sorts of leaders over my lifetime. I've seen those who want to lead (and perhaps even called) but never rise to their potential or calling. I've also seen those who were called to lead but were not yet skilled in leadership skills but were earnest learners who make it their lifegoal to become everything that God wanted of them.
Aaron was that way. He started by the side of Moses as his right hand man but quickly grew in the the authority and calling of God and was able to be one of the preimenent leaders of the people of Israel. Chapter 8 of Leviticus is the stamp of approval by the people over the calling of God in his life.
For the godly leader, the call of God becomes a personal foundation for ministry, a point of revelation. A person should never enter into a spiritual position without a divine call of God upon their life. God's call is the first step for anyone who desires a spiritual leadership position.
Every call of God has two components: inward and outward. God's hand on the person provides the inward component. This becomes the driving force in a persons heart to step into spiritual leadership. The outward component comes from a whole other source - from other people - by their confirmation that God has called you and that God's hand indeed does rest upon your life. Although, if God has called you - you don't need the approval of people but if often is an indicator of the calling of God upon your life. Usually, if God has called you - people will also confirm it.
I belive that only God can call any person to lead and minister. To step into a position without the call and hand of God upon you would be disasterous. When God begins to move in your life - people will see and affirm the authority that God has placed upon you.
The word "authorize" is derived from the Latin word which means "to increase or to grow." Frank Damazio reminds us that the word "authorize" suggests the spiritual meanings of: a builder of spiritual buildings; a creator of spiritual families; a doer of spiritual deeds, an author of spiritual writings; a teacher of spiritual knowledge; a spiritual advisor of actions; a promoter of spiritual plans; a supporter of spiritual laws; a spiritual leader in public life; a model of spiritual conduct; a spiritual guardian of women and minors; and a champion of other's spiritual warfare. (Maxwell)
Romans 1:14-16 gives us a few signs that should accompany God's call of a person into vocational ministry:
1- "I am eager" - There is a sense of passion and urgency about reaching people.
2- "I am obligated" - This is the feeling that I cannot do anything else vocationally.
3- "I am not ashamed" - This is the conviction to do what others may think illogical.
It is interesting that the word "ordain" comes from the Latin Word that means "to set in order, arrange or appoint or regulate." To ordain someone means to officially appoint that person to an office and to regulate his/her ministry. True ordination does not precede ministry; it follows it. Only after a person excercises obvious spiritual influcence, enabled by the Holy Spirit, is that individual ready to be ordained by humans. God calls, and people confirm and affirm the call upon a persons life.

ARE YOU HUNGRY FOR MORE OF GOD?
Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. (Exodus 40:34, 35 ESV)
I have over the past few days been fascinated and drawn to the many scriptures in the Bible about the presence of God. I so want to be in "His presence" and to experience "His glory." I wake up up at in the middle of the night and am drawn by the Holy Spirit to spend an intimate time with Him. I am hungry for more of God. He is all I think about and He is all I want. During the day my mind is often taken to that place where I'm thinking about the presence of God in my life both now and over my lifespan. I am truly overwhelmed. I get tears just thinking about it.
So, what does it mean to experience God's glory? When Moses tried to enter the tent and was not able to enter because of the glory - what does that mean? How does that relate to me and how can I experience that in my life?
In the Old Testament, the most common word for glory is the Hebrew kabod, meaning “heavy in weight.” When you glorify someone, you recognize his importance, or the “weight,” of some desirable uniqueness he possesses. Beauty, majesty, and splendor are the main ideas the word seeks to convey.
It might be a person’s wealth (Solomon), or great strength (Samson), or authority and power (Nebuchadnezzar). The glory of someone or something is what sets it apart in a special and inimitable way, in the same way the glory of a Zebra is its stripes; the Cheetah’s, speed; or the peacock’s, plumage.
This insight helps us understand why the Ark of the Covenant falling into enemy hands meant Israel had lost part of her glory (1 Sam. 4:21)—that special possession that made her distinct from, and preeminent among, her neighbors.
“I am the Lord, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another . . . ” (Isa. 42:8)
This glory that the Lord speaks of to the prophet Isaiah refers to the beauty and magnificence of the person and being of God Himself. When the psalmists give glory to the Lord, they’re pointing out those attributes of His that exclusively give Him weight and importance in worship.
Basically, the word "glory" means that we would experience the "weight" of God in our lives - the character, the attritubes, the sum total of what God is. To be filled with glory is to be filled with God Himself. God is jealous over you and desires to be the only object of your affection today. He will not tolerate any rivals. When He is first and foremost in your life you are most at peace. When His presence fills your mind, heart and the totallity of your life you will have a sense of "alignment."
"I pray for you today that you would desire and seek for that "kabod" experience with God today. I pray that you experience the presence / "weight" of the Holy Spirit over every aspect of your life. May God give you a hunger for Him like never before. Come Lord Jesus, Come."

CAN PEOPLE TELL THAT YOU'VE BEEN WITH GOD?
When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God. (Exodus 34:29 ESV)
Last night I was hanging out with some teenagers when the issue of my age came up. When I said that I was 60 I heard the ooh's and ahh's of "Wow, that's old." And to them, it is old. 60 is a long way from being 16. We all laughed - but I wasn't prepared for the words that came out of one of the young girls who said, "That must be such an awesome feeling - to be so wise - to have all that experience in your life." I had never thougth about it in those terms but in a sense that is really a true statement. I've been able to blessed with many experiences and hopefully I can help others from making the same mistakes that I have made over the years.
As I read this passage this morning my heart jumped as it is where I desire for my own life to be right now. I long for the presence of God to be first and foremost with me. I long for my prayer times to be extended and for God to fill me with His glory and presence. I long for God to speak to my thirsting soul that I might show up at church full of the presence of God. I long for people to say, "I can tell, you've been with God again." I want them to see Him on my face and on my countenance.
There are many important things in life but in my estimate - there is nothing as important as being with God and in His presence. Spending time with God brings peace to anxious heart. It gives direction to the busy day. It soothes and oils the places that are rough.
I pray that next time I see you that I will see that you've been with Jesus and that you will see that I've also been in His presence also. I want you to see it in my face and I want you to see it int he way I live my life. There are many voices calling and vieing for your attention today but there is only one voice that must be attuned to - the voice of God. Sometimes He speaks so quietly that you must have your inner ear right against His bosom. He whispers to you and calls your name. He speaks over you and to you. He breathes His intructions to help you through every part of your journey. Are you listening?
If it has been awhile since you've been in His presence - stop right now and talk to Jesus. He's there waiting for you and He's ready to spend some quality time with you today. When you do, you will come down the mountain and the Glory of God will be seen on your face.

HARVEST PRAYING
As we come to a close of our 21 Days - we are entering into a season of Harvest praying! This is the time that we are to be watching NEW DOORS FORM. To “form” means to develop or mold the shape or outline of something, or to give meaning, character or nature to something. A forming season includes conceiving, training, and disciplining.
The person in the Bible that has affected my prayer life the most, other than Jesus, is Daniel. I just love how he operated in victory in Babylon. He was truly “in the world, but not of it.” He was disciplined, sensitive, consistent, uncompromising, bold, supernatural, attentive to the past, but always pressing toward God’s expected end for the people of Israel.
He understood how prophecy was important in our prayer lives. He knew we had to use the prophecies spoken, to war for our future! Take, for example, the situation when Jeremiah prophesied that the people of Israel would go into captivity, but would be released in 70 years. Daniel uncovered the prophetic writings of Jeremiah while Israel was still held captive in Babylon. He learned that Jerusalem must lie desolate for 70 years, and that 70-year period had now come to an end.
Because of Jeremiah’s prophetic declaration, Daniel knew that now was the time to act. Jeremiah’s understanding of the future had turned into a “now” word for Daniel. So, Daniel did four specific things to bring an end to Israel’s captivity:
1. He prayed and fasted. Jeremiah was specific in saying that the Lord would turn a deaf ear to His people for 70 years. Now, however, Daniel knew that the kairos time had come to beseech the Lord for an end to captivity.
2. He repented for himself and his people. Daniel confessed and repented not only for his own sin, but for the sins, iniquities, and failures of the Israelites that resulted in their captivity in the first place.
3. He received an angelic visitation. God honored Daniel’s efforts and sent His archangel, Michael. After three weeks of prayer, fasting, and repentance, an angel appeared to Daniel to tell him what was written in the “Book of the Future.” In other words, he told Daniel what would happen to his people.
4. He received revelation of the future. Because of Jeremiah’s prophecy, Daniel understood the times in which he was living. Because he understood the times, he saw his window of opportunity and began to seek the Lord with great fervency. When he did, he gained an understanding of the future God had for his people, and through obedience to God’s commands, could move them forward, out of their captivity.
When the word of God is released through prophecy, it is never forgotten. It is stored in heaven until God is ready to release it back into the earth.
Here is a prayer focus for you as you come to an end of this 21 Day Fast.
SEVENFOLD PRAYER FOCUS FOR YOU
First, may you understand covenant in a way you have never understood before.
Second, may your faith be built and connected to your experiences from the past.
Third, may your prayer life become more consistent.
Fourth, may you press through in that hard situation that seems overwhelming.
Fifth, may you break through for revelation in the future.
Sixth, may you gain peace in the midst of the “lions” around you.
Seventh, may our Lord reveal to you that open door for your future!
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. (Psalm 37:4, 5 ESV)

DO YOU NEED HEALING TODAY?
Do you or someone you know need healing today? If so, the Word Of God is our source and resource. Take the following scriptures and tuck them into your Bible or underline them and read them often. Claim God's Word and believe for the healing to come today!
But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. (Malachi 4:2 ESV)

After they had crossed the lake, they landed at Gennesaret. When the people recognized Jesus, the news of his arrival spread quickly throughout the whole area, and soon people were bringing all their sick to be healed. But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. (Malachi 4:2 ESV)
He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. (1 Peter 2:24 NLT)
He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. (Psalm 107:20 NKJV)

PRAYER POINTERS
If you wanted someone to instruct you in golf or tennis, wouldn’t you choose someone who is good at golf and tennis?
The same goes for prayer. If you want a better prayer life, why not go to someone who excelled in the ministry of prayer? Why not go to Jesus?
One of the topics Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount was prayer. What principles for our prayer life can we find there? Let's go to Matthew 6.
I. Prayer should be addressed to God not man (vv. 5, 6).
“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. (Matthew 6:5, 6 ESV)
A. This is not a condemnation of public prayer. Jesus prayed publicly. The Lord’s Prayer was a public prayer.
B. It does mean that we must always remember who we are addressing. Prayer time is not a time to try to impress people, but to communicate with God.
C. If we talk to be heard by men, they will hear, but God will not.
II. Prayer is measured by sincerity not multiplication of words (vv. 7, 8).
“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. (Matthew 6:7, 8 ESV)
A.This is not a condemnation of persistence. Later in the sermon, Jesus will recommend persistence.
B. It is condemning empty repetition.
C. It is condemning the notion that the best prayers are the longest prayers.
III. Prayer should follow Jesus’ pattern, not our preferences (vv. 9-13).
Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. (Matthew 6:9-13 ESV)
A. Praise should always come first.
1. Respect for God’s names.
2. Commitment to God’s kingdom.
3. Submission to God’s will.
B. Petition is important but should always come second.
1. Petition for the provision of daily needs.
2. Petition for the pardon of past sins.
3. Petition for the promise of future guidance.
IV. Prayer should affect our behavior, not just our mood (v. 14).
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, (Matthew 6:14 ESV)
A. Prayer may make us feel better. While that is welcome, it is not all there is to our prayer life.
B. Prayer will affect the way we relate to other people.
C. If we have received forgiveness from God, it will be difficult not to extend it to others. Something is seriously wrong if we cannot do this.
While prayer is a natural desire of the human heart, it often seems so unnatural. We should not be afraid to accept instruction. Like the disciples of old we cry out, “Lord, teach us to pray.” He will do that for you. And you will be able to enjoy a lifetime of close communication and fellowship with God.

PRAYING BIG PRAYERS
As we are on our last week of the 21 Day Fast I would like to encourage you to step out in faith and pray some really BIG prayers on your behalf and that of your family. To help you do that let's look at a man who prayed some really BIG prayers for his life - A man named Jabez. This is found in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10.
1 Chronicles 4:9-10 (NIV) 4:9 Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, "I gave birth to him in pain." 4:10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.
1- Jabez Prayed For God To Bless Him
Genesis 12:2 (NIV) 12:2 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
Genesis 32:26 (NLT) 32:26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking!” But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”
2- Jabez Prayed That God Would Enlarge His Borders
Isaiah 54:2 (NLT) 54:2 “Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense!
Luke 14:33 (MSG) 14:33 "Simply put, if you're not willing to take what is dearest to you, whether plans or people, and kiss it good-bye, you can't be my disciple.
3- Jabez Prayed For God’s Hand To Be Upon Him
1 Chronicles 4:10 (NIV) 4:10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.
Joshua 4:23-24 (NIV) 4:23 For the LORD your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The LORD your God did to the Jordan just what he had done to the Red Sea when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over. 4:24 He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is powerful and so that you might always fear the LORD your God."
Acts 11:21 (NIV) 11:21 The Lord's hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.

Genesis 6:5-6 (NIV) 6:5 The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. 6:6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain.
Psalm 119:11 (NIV) 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Matthew 6:13 (NIV) 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'
Deuteronomy 4:9 (NIV) 4:9 Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.
Deuteronomy 4:23 (NIV) 4:23 Be careful not to forget the covenant of the LORD your God that he made with you; do not make for yourselves an idol in the form of anything the LORD your God has forbidden.
I pray that this helps you form your own list of BIG prayers and that you will see the richness of God over your whole life in this new season for your life.

HOW TO PRAY EVERYDAY: A DAILY PRAYER PATH
People often ask me about my prayer life and how do I pray. One of the prayer paths that I pray often is the Lord's Prayer. There are six sections to this prayer that every Christian should pray on a daily basis. Here's the prayer plan:
I. "OUR FATHER WHICH ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME"
A. The beginning of your prayer (your first topic of prayer).
B. Entering God's presence with praise and thanksgiving.
l. One may enter my song as well as praise.
2. Thanksgiving for the blood of Jesus which enables us to call him Father.
Using the eight compound names of God from the Old Testament.
l. Jehovah Tsidkenu: "Jehovah our righteousness" (sin)
2. Jehovah M'Kadesh: "Jehovah who sanctifies" (a day by day process) (sin)
3. Jehovah Shalom: "Jehovah is peace" (spirit)
4. Jehovah Shammah: "Jehovah is there" (spirit)
5. Jehovah Rophe: "Jehovah heals" (soundness)
6. Jehovah Jireh: "Jehovah's provision shall be seen" (success)
7. Jehovah Nissi "Jehovah my banner" (success)
8. Jehovah Rohi: "Jehovah my shepherd" (Ps. 23) (security)
These names represent God's divine nature and will for your life. We are not asking God to be these names. We are PRAISING HIM BECAUSE HE IS THESE THINGS ALREADY!
II. "THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE."
Here we set our priorities for the day. We are not begging; rather, you declare
that God's will be done in earth.
Four areas in which you want to establish His Kingdom.
1. Yourself: (Picture Jesus actually sitting on the throne of your life) (Pledge that you will not pass this point in prayer until God's will and kingdom for you is established in your spirit...know that you must have his divine wisdom in order to properly administrate your Home, Business and Resources.)
2. Your Family: (Your mate ...pray for righteousness, peace and joy to rule with
him/her...pray until you feel release in the Spirit...then move on to your children. Married or unmarried...be sure you include praying for unmarried children's future mates...then move on to OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS.
3. Your Church:
A) Your Pastor (for anointing, a shepherd's heart, impart wisdom, a channel)
B) Leadership (Staff/ Council Members/ Teachers, etc.
C) Faithfulness (Your own, new people, soul winners, intercessors, tithes and offerings). For Harvest (For the Holy Spirit to draw like a magnet those who are believers)
Isa.43:46 "Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the EAST, and
gather thee from the WEST; I will say to the NORTH; Give up; and to the SOUTH,
Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ENDS OF THE EARTH."
ADOPT THIS PASSAGE FOR OUR CHURCH! It is harvest time...speak to the POWERS, AND PRINCIPALITIES OF THE AIR WHO WORKING IN THE SONS OF DISOBEDIENCE. (EPH.2:2)
DEMAND THAT THE ENEMY RELEASE EVERY PERSON WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE IN OUR CHURCH!!!!!
4. Your Nation: (Call The Leaders By Name)
A) President, Supreme Court, Congress, Representatives etc.
B) Governor of State, Courts, Law Enforcement etc.
C) Mayor, City Council, Police force etc.
D) Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
III. "GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD"
Here you pray in what you need.
A. FOUR "B's FOR SUCESS!
1 - Be in the will of God.
2- Believe it is God's will to prosper you - III Jn.2
3- Be specific
4- Be tenacious - "Holding Fast"
B. God has promised to restore the years that the locust hath eaten. (Joel 2:25)
1. The thief has stolen your goods...demand them back 7 fold.
2. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil...name those you are aware of and take authority in the name of Jesus!
3. Be tenacious about your rights because of the blood Jesus.
4. Repossess the lost ground...
God has pledged to "AVENGE HIS ELECT WHO CRY UNTO HIM DAY AND NIGHT." (Luke 18:7)
5. "SUBMIT yourself to the Lord, RESIST the devil, and he will flee."
6. Don't tire of asking..."Keep on asking it will be given you, keep on seeking and you will find, keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. Matt. 7:7
7. See in your mind's eye the GREAT ANGEL OF THE LORD DOING BATTLE IN THE HEAVENLIES BRINGING YOUR ANSWERS
Hebrews 1:14 "Are they not ministering spirits sent to minister for those who shall be heirs of salvation?"
IV. "AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS"
Set your will to have the right attitude toward...
1. Those who have wronged you...
2. Toward yourself...
3. Toward God...
4. Toward all people at all times.
Ask God to forgive you, forgive as often as you want to be forgiven.
V. "AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL"
A. Pray a hedge of protection about yourself, your family and your possessions.
1. See the angels of the Lord encamping round about you.
2. See yourself victorious over the onslaughts of the devil.
B. God does not temp!!! (James 1:13)
1. The devil is the tempter.
2. In the temptations we learn spiritual warfare.
3. These are times when the Lord demonstrates his great victory over Satan.
C. Stand against Satan, your loins girded about with TRUTH (THE WORD).
D. You have on the breastplate of righteousness.
F. Shield of faith, helmet of salvation, sword of Spirit...
STAND! (Give no place to the devil.) DECLARE WITH YOUR MOUTH THAT YOU HAVE THE ARMOR ON!!!
1. Jesus, you are my TRUTH!
2. Jesus, you are my READINESS!
3. Jesus, you are my FAITH, SALVATION, LIVING WORD, etc.
VI. "FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY."
A. The final demarcation point in your prayer.
B. You return to PRAISE...and your prayer run is victoriously finished.
1. Time for extending hands in thanksgiving.
2. End of the race is a time for excitement.
3. A time for boasting and celebration...a time to sing.
4. A time to shout!
C. There are many ways to express our love, gratitude and worship to our God!
D. Remember: "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." (Luke 12:32)
May we never leave his presence without humbly bowing before him and offering a sacrifice of praise..."THINE IS THE KINGDOM! THINE IS THE POWER! THINE IS THE GLORY! AMEN!

A RIDDLE: WHO AM I?
This puzzle was written by a lady in California in response to an offer from a gentleman in Philadelphia that he would pay anyone $1,000 who could write a puzzle he could not solve. He failed to do so and paid the $1,000. The answer is one word, and appears twice in the King James version of the Bible.
Adam, God made out of dust
But thought it best to make me first,
So I was made before man
To answer God's most Holy plan.
A living being I became
And Adam gave to me my name.
I from his presence then withdrew
And more of Adam never knew.
I did my Maker's law obey
Nor ever went from it astray.

FOUR PRAYERS FOR YOU
Ephesians 3:14-21 (NIV) For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. PASSING THE TEST
After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” (Genesis 22:1, 2 ESV)
This is a hard scripture to understand as it touches the emotions of every parent. We ask the question - "How would I respond? What would I do?"
It was a test.
Did you know that God provides tests as a measure of your progress and maturity in Christ? Did you know that before God can take you to the next level you have to pass the assigned test? You can't skip this process. You cannot ignore it and hope it will go away. Sure, it might be out of mind for a while - but someday you will have to face it again or face the consequences of not being obedient.
Genesis 22 begins with a divine test for Abraham. God calls Abraham to climb Mount Moriah and sacrifice his beloved son. If Abraham would resolve to give up Isaac, God knew hew would be willing to do anything asked of him - and therefore would be the perfect candidate to become the father of the Hebrew people.
Every person reading this will be tested. It might be at different levels and with different means but you will be tested. However, there will be these commonalities:
1- You will get test at each level of growth
2- Your goal is to pass the test
3- Testing always precedes moving to the next level of growth
4- You can't do this on your own - you need God's help at every level of growth in your life
5- Moving forward requires sacrifice - it will be hard at times
Don't run from the test before you. Embrace it and allow God to move you to the next level of growth in your life.
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. (1 Peter 4:12, 13 ESV)

TAKING THE HIGH ROAD IN RELATIONSHIPS - PART 3
THE POWER OF INTEGRITY
Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. (Proverbs 10:9 NIV)
One of the values that has been ingrained in my life is the value of integgrity. It is a value that has become a moral compass for every decision that I make in life.
If you were to define integrity it would be this way: The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
Synonyms: honesty, honor, good character, principle(s), ethics, morals, righteousness, morality, virtue, decency, fairness, scrupulousness, sincerity, truthfulness, trustworthiness
I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity...1 Chronicles 29:17 NIV)
Over the years I have had many opportunities to take the low road in relationships and business dealings. I've always been taught that we need to "do what is right and God will do what is best" and I've tried to live by that creed in all my life's dealings. We have to do what is right and leave the consequences in God's hands.
There is a story in Genesis 20 that talks about two men and their approach to a situation. Abraham, taking the low road, chose to lie about who his wife was. He introduced her as his sister. King Abimilech, not knowing the truth about her tried to "hook up with her." But because Abimilech was a man of integrity - God spared him. He even says, "Lord, I did this in the integrity of my heart." (Genesis 20:5). Because of his integrity - God spared him from making a drastic mistake. Notice what v. 6 says:
Then God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know that you have done this in the integrity of your heart, and it was I who kept you from sinning against me. Therefore I did not let you touch her. (Genesis 20:6 ESV)
May I encourage you today to walk in integrity with every decision you make and every person you come in contact with. Remember that you represent Christ and His kingdom always. Walking in integrity is more important than having all the riches of this world at your discposal. Your good name means everything. Your integrity defines you both for now and in the future. Trust God to do the best thing for you as you do the right thing for Him now. You will be glad you did.
A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold. (Proverbs 22:1 ESV)

Abraham and Lot had reached an impasse. They both had so many possessions that a conflict rose among their herdsmen (Genesis 13:7). There wasn't enough space for all of them to remain in the same area. It would have been easy for both of these men to be overtaken with greed, and it would have been easier for Abraham to insist on getting his own way. After all, he was the one who started the journey with God; Lot was invited later.
Abraham, however, allowed Lot to choose which piece of land he wanted. Abraham would take whichever real estate Lot didn't take. He served generously and sacrifically, giving up what could have been his for the sake of someone else. Abraham could do this because:
1- He valued his relationships more than his possessions - v.8
2- He recognized that he already had more land than or Lot needed - v.9
3- He knew that God was in control and would do him justice in the end - vv. 12-15
This is a great example of a leader taking the high road. Those who do this believe life is too short to keep score. These "high road" leaders realize that God is better at providing for them than they are for themselves. Lot's decision took him to Sodom, a place where he and his family experienced a better life. Abraham heard from The Lord and as a result received a bountiful promise. (John Maxwell)

After enduring nearly 40 chapters of criticism and condemnation from Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar, Job has the opportunity to get even. God announces His displeasure with them, apparently giving Job a wonderful chance to say, "I told you so." Instead, Job prays for his foolish friends.
Like all great leaders, Job refused to take vengenance or hold grudges. Instead, he took the high road. He forgave his friends, interceded for them, and sent them on their way.
Take time right now and remind yourself of the differences between the low road and the high road:
Low Road
1. Revenge and retaliation when wronged
2. Plays the same game as others
3. Guided by emotions; is up and down
4. Reactive: lives no better than anyone else
High Road
1. Unconditional love and forgiveness
2. Refuses to play games; lives by principles
3. Guided by character and values
4. Proactive: lives above merely human standards
I pray that we would take the High Road in all our relationships and determine each day to see Jesus in our situations. I pray that we would walk in God's forgiveness and power and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in all relationships with restoration and healing.
