When Life Is Out Of Control

Genesis 39:21-23 (NLT) 39:21 But the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love. And the Lord made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden. 22 Before long, the warden put Joseph in charge of all the other prisoners and over everything that happened in the prison. 23 The warden had no more worries, because Joseph took care of everything. The Lord was with him and caused everything he did to succeed.

There are times and seasons in every persons life that just seems like it is out of control. You can’t put your finger on it and you can’t do anything to fix it. Words are taken the wrong way, misunderstandings happen, finances are stretched, health issues press us, etc, etc. Joseph faced these same things in his own life. He was just going along life – being a boy in Israel. His brothers hated him and harassed him. They eventually captured him and sold him to Egypt. He gets to Egypt and is bought by a man name Potiphar who puts him to work at his house. Eventually he is falsely accused of “coming on” to Potiphar’s wife and put into prison. V.21 – “But the Lord was with Joseph in prison and showed him his faithful love.” Perhaps things are spiraling out of control in your life and you have no answers and no solutions. Could it be that God’s hand is in this? Even though you don’t see it or feel it – do you know that God is with you right now? Life is bigger right now then what you can see or hear. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God has a plan for you and it is “good.” Trust God today that no matter what is happening in your life that He will see you through and that you will be where God wants you to be. May God give you grace during this season of your life.

Psalms 30:5 (NLT) For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.
